Fan, skin leaf painted of the goddess of the hunt, Diana, accompanied by her dogs, admiring the shepherd Endymion, whom Zeus has put to sleep to preserve his beauty and youth forever.
The composition is based on the painting by Italian painter Michele Rocca (also known as Michele da Parma and Parmigianino il Giovane, 1671-1751).
Back painted with chinoiseries
Very fine and delicate sticks and guards, pierced and engraved with chinoiseries
Good condition (restorations to the guards, some fillets missing, small paint chips).
