The magic lantern revealing the royal family, seditious fan after 1793
Wooden fan, the silk chiffon leaf, embroidered with sequins and engraved with a cherub and his dog activating a magic lantern that projects a pansy. This reveals the portraits of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette and the Dauphin. The fan, folded in a certain way, reveals a fleur-de-lis.
Condition: several tears with missing parts, restorations on reverse, stains.
