The skin leaf is painted of a couple of shepherds returning from the mountain pastures with their sheep and goats.
Signed and dated J. Lefrançois 1879 (Jeanne Le François, portraitist and pastellist of the 19th century, she was a student of Carolus Duran and Henner, she exhibited at the Salon from 1878)
Good general condition (restoration at the bottom of a guard, small tears to the leaf)
