Fan attributed to the fan-maker Alexandre (unsigned)
The skin leaf is painted with a rich dance scene from the time of the Boyards (former Russian nobles).

This could be Pascal Blanchard, a French painter (1807-1900) who was a pupil of Jules Lefebvre and Boulanger. He was a regular participant in the Salon des Artistes Français. His work includes several watercolors of Russian peasants and Cossack horsemen in the years 1859-1860. Pascal Blanchard is listed as having collaborated with the fan-maker Alexandre on fan leaves.

Condition: gaurds and two sticks restored, small tears and leaf repainting
