The four seasons of Love, fan circa 1875-1880
A brisé fan, finely carved, pierced and engraved with putti representing the four seasons, topped with garlands of roses: spring flowers, summer wheat, autumn grapes and winter bundles of wood.
The guard features autumn and summer, and the counter guard is carved with the initials EM.
