Large fan, the silk leaf printed and painted with the myth of Danae and the golden rain.

Danae, daughter of the king of Argos, lives a recluse far from all suitors, her father having learned from an oracle that he would be killed by his future grandson. Jupiter, god of the gods, mated with her in the form of a fine shower of gold. Perseus was born.
Stick and guards are richly carved, pierced, engraved, painted, varnished and applied with red foil.
Good condition (repainted and one sticks redone).
