Fan with the balloon-shaped silk leaf painted with gouache of an allegory of the France grateful to the soldier-factor bringing news from the front. The sun and the rooster of Victory rise and crow in unison.
Signed by the painter Van Garden and on the reverse by the fan maker Duvelleroy
Sticks and guards are in blond horn engraved and painted with ribbons in the colors of France and the flags of the Allies (France, Belgium, United Kingdom, Italy and Russia)
The gilded brass rivet in the shape of a daisy, symbol of the Duvelleroy fan maker
Good condition small tears and spots of perfume)
