The leaf in delicate lace (needlepoint) with flowers and foliage motif like rushes, inlaid with a very finely painted skin cartel of a dragonfly woman gathering flowers near a pond.
Signed by the french painter G. Lasellaz
On the back two dragonflies are painted with flowers
Signed by the fan maker A. Rodien Paris
The sticks and guards are blond tortoiseshell, the guards are sculpted and pierced in the shape of the dragonfly's wings, gilded with a fillet and surmounted by a mother-of-pearl foil. The sticks engraved with rushes and dragonflies
