Wooden fan, the paper leaf painted with stylized poppies and inscribed with a poem by the French poet, lyricist and playwright Raymond Genty (Paris 1881-1950).

Raymond Genty was also General Secretary of the Théâtre national de l'Odéon. His work includes over fifty titles, and he was awarded three prizes by the Académie Française, including the Prix Artigue in 1940 for La Route lumineuse.
