A beautifully designed and highly graphic fan.
The balloon-shaped leaf alternates between ribbons of black silk embroidered with gold sequins and garlands of gauze painted with flowers. A central silk medallion is painted with a beautiful woman wearing a rose.

Imitation tortoiseshell sticks and guards inlaid with gold sequins.
Good condition (small holes in the lining on the reverse, a bone top end damaged on the reverse).
