Wooden fan, the printed paper leaf of the rooster Chantecler, played by Lucien Guitry, and the pheasant hen (actress Madame Simone) from Edmond Rostand's play Chantecler, performed in Paris in 1910.
With near the guard, an advertising label for the Grand Café Glacier - Joseph Humarau - Béziers
The reverse is signed by several personalities of the time, including a Minister of State; Henriette Marignan, lyric singer; Madeleine Roch, tragis actress of Comédie Française... Many address to Madame Chabrier in reference to Les Esclaves, possibly the widow of composer Emmanuel Chabrier, who wrote the music for the 1887 comic opera Le Roi malgré lui.
