Le Linge Monopole, “revolutionized” men's grooming in 1894 by offering canvas collars, bibs and cuffs with parchment lining, which are always elegant, impeccable, new and economical, since they can be thrown away as soon as they become dirty. They cost “only the price of laundering” (1894), then they are “cheaper than laundering” (1896) and finally they “do away with laundering” (from 1897).
The three trousers made up of collars, bibs and cuffs are reminiscent of the poster designed for this brand by French poster artist Roedel in 1897.
